Report on Donation Event for Visually Impaired Students Event Overview On September 5, 2024, the Rotary Club of Chinchwad-Pune organized a significant donation event at Shree Swami Samarth Hall, Karvenagar, Pune. The event aimed to support visually impaired students by donating Braille books, white sticks, and pen drives to 105 students. Additionally, it included the felicitation of visually impaired teachers, recognizing their invaluable contributions to education. Organizing Committee The event was coordinated by an enthusiastic organizing committee, including President Rtn. Harsha Joshi, Secretary Rtn. Parag Joshi, Treasurer Rtn. Bhupendra Ketkar, Rtn. Sachin Wadbudhe, and Rtn. Sangeeta Ranade. Project Partners and Support The project was conducted in collaboration with the Blind Welfare Association, Nashik, under Rotary’s Avenues of Community Development, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Numerous synergy partners supported the initiative, including: Rtn. Ajay Lanke, Rotary Club of Pradhikaran Rtn. Nitin Ghotkule, Rotary Club of Maval Rtn. Vivek Jamadar, Rotary Club of Belmondo Gahunje Rtn. Gautam Shah, Rotary Club of Akurdi Rtn. Prashant Surdikar, Rotary Club of Scon Pro Rtn. Prashant Shejwal, Rotary Club of Udyagnagari Rtn. Santosh Giranje, Rotary Club of Pimpri Rtn. Kamlesh Karle, Rotary Club of Talegaon Dabhade Rtn. Sachin Wadbudhe also contributed financially to support the organization of the event. Attendance and Impact The event was attended by around 350 people, including students, teachers, and members of the Rotary community. The gathering celebrated not only the contributions of visually impaired students and teachers but also promoted awareness about the challenges faced by this community.
