Report on Peace Day Celebration by Rotary Club Chinchwad Date: September 21, 2024 Event: Celebration of Peace Day with Peace Oath by Students Avenue: Peace Building and Conflict Resolution On September 21, 2024, the Rotary Club of Chinchwad, Pune, organized a significant celebration for Peace Day, emphasizing the importance of peace and conflict resolution among youth. The event featured a collective Peace Oath taken by students from various schools. Participating institutions included: D.I.C.'s English Medium School: 1,480 students New English School, Chinchwad: 425 students M.S.S. High School, Chinchwad: 625 students M.S.S. High School, Dahiwali, Taluka Mhada, District: Solapur: 582 students and 22 staff members The Rotary Club was represented by 14 members and 2 Annets. The initiative, led by President Rtn Harsha Joshi and Director Rtn Dr. Sangeeta Ranade, aimed to instill values of peace, cooperation, and understanding among the youth. The ceremony fostered a sense of community and responsibility, inspiring students to become ambassadors of peace in their respective environments. Overall, the event was a resounding success, engaging a large number of students and reinforcing the commitment of Rotary to peacebuilding and conflict resolution initiatives.
